About Linda Stephens

linda-stephens-and-husband-figure-competition-training-posing-bodybuilding-womens-diet-darien-ctAs a 44-year-old wife and mother of two children, I run a household with all the usual responsibilities, grocery shopping, laundry, meal prep, homework, referee etc... All you moms out there get what I'm describing! And, even if you don't have kids or a husband there are still day-to-day activities that have to be taken care of by YOU.

I underestand the particular challenge women today face when it comes to creating and carrying out the exercise program that will enable them to reach their fitness goals.

I've found a way to make it work, have fun and reach your fitness goals while keeping the rest of your life in balance.

I want to help others do the same.

Women: You don't have to sacrifice your health in order to be true to your other responsibilities. In fact, if you're sacrificing your health, how well can you perform at any level?

I grew up in Natick, Massachusetts and now reside in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Most of my professional career was in equity financial sales and trading.

I've always been physically active – figure skating as a child, playing basketball throughout grammar school and college. I also taught aerobics classes for Richard Simmons Anatomy Asylum.

Now I'm a National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) - CPR/AED certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, Weight Management Consultant, NPC Amateur National Figure competitor, Scivation representative and student!

In 2013, I completed my Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT., adding new knowledge and skills and the ability to:

  • Add qualified professional nutritional counseling to my fitness sessions
  • Valuable cutting edge nutritional knowledge and support
  • Customize a nutritional and supplement plan for overall health and wellness

In the summer of 2010 I decided to try my hand at figure competing. If you go to my competition history tab it will give you my competition history in detail. I did four competitions in 2010 and it was an amazing journey.

Beyond Expectations

about-linda-stephens-figure-competition-training-posing-bodybuilding-womens-diet-darien-ct-portrait-shotI initially had planned on doing only one figure competition just to get into fantastic shape and have pictures of myself on stage. My reasoning, so that one day I could look back and say I did something totally out of the box!

Well, after taking 2nd place in my first show I had been bitten by the bug and decided to pursue it long term. My goal for this year is to obtain my pro card within the IFBB!!!! Stay tuned.
